An "everlasting spring" used by brewer Timothy Bentley to found Lockwood Brewery in the 1790s.

In order the restrict public access, the brewery eventually built a stone structure around the spring with an entrance gate that could be locked. Inside, the spring waters flow into a series of large stone troughs.
