Horace Goldsbrough (1895-1917)

Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

GOLDSBROUGH, HORACE. Private. No 241905. 2/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Mirfield 23.8.1895. Son of Walter Goldsborough, 22 South Parade, Huddersfield. Educated at Spring Grove Council School. Worked for his father in the tailoring and costume business at 22 South Parade, Huddersfield. Enlisted 16.3.1916. Reported missing, 3.5.1917, and afterwards presumed to have died on that date, aged 21. Has no known grave. Commemorated ARRAS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
