Honley Feast (1857)

The 1857 Honley Feast took place between Sunday 20 September and Wednesday 23 September.

The Leeds Mercury (24/Sep/1857) reported that a highlight of the feast had been a cricket match held between teams from Holmfirth and Honley.

William Beaumont of Honley was charged with wounding Walter Woodhead on the Wednesday of the feast. He was fined £5.[1]
