Honley Civic Society
Honley Civic Society was formed in 1984 with the aim of influencing the development of the village in a coherent fashion in line with its heritage. It is a non-political body with around 60 members.
By monitoring local planning and development matters, Honley Civic Society hopes to ensure that the built environment is appropriate to its surroundings.
The Society also highlights green issues. We seek to promote interest in Honley and its surroundings through researching and publishing a range of books covering the history of Honley.
