The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

NAYLOR, HERBERT. Private. No TF. 235113. 1/7th Battalion Middlesex Regiment. Born Gildersome near Morley, Leeds, 30.8.1884. Employed as a woollen weaver at Ashbrow Mills. Husband of Edith Naylor, 15 Netheroyd Hill, Huddersfield. Enlisted 25.8.1916. Died of wounds, 16.8.1917, aged 32. Buried BRANDHOEK NEW MILITARY CEMETERY No 3. Grave location:- Plot 1, Row A, Grave 10.
