Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

MALLINSON, HERBERT. Private. No 205298. 8th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Huddersfield. Seventh son of George and Annie Mallinson, 51 Leeds Road North, Huddersfield. Husband of Ada Mallinson, 4 Fieldhouse Road, Leeds Road, Huddersfield. Employed as a warper by Messrs T. and H. Blamires Limited, Leeds Road. Was a playing member of the Bradley Mills Cricket Club. Killed in action at Passchendaele, 9.10.1917, aged 32 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated TYNE COT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
