The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

LUNN, HERBERT. Private. No 307810. 1/7th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Milnsbridge. Son of William Henry and Hannah Lunn of Milnsbridge. Husband of Clara Lunn, 132 Brierley Road, Manchester Road, Huddersfield. Employed as a scourer by Messrs Kaye and Stewart, Broadfield Mills, Lockwood. Killed in action, 14.8.1917, aged 29 years. Buried COXYDE MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row H, Grave 21.
