Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

LODGE, HERBERT. Private. No 52616. 1st Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment. Formerly No 308189 Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Thurstonland. Lived Scar End, Brockholes. Married, with two children. Employed by Messrs James Lancaster and Son, Mytholm Bridge. Killed in action, 17.9.1918, aged 31 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated VIS-en-ARTOIS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
ROH:- Brockholes War Memorial; Thurstonland War Memorial; memorial in St. Thomas's Churchyard, Thurstonland.
