Herbert Lindsay Hanson (c.1894-1918)

An ongoing project to commemorate and research the lives of those who appear on war memorials and rolls of honour in the local area, who served in the military, or whose deaths were linked to conflict.

Private, Royal Army Medical Corps. Regimental No. 7974 Born in Great Mongeham, Kent. Killed in action 27 October 1918 in Italy aged 24 years. Son of William and Alice Hanson, Wakefield. Employed as a Coal Miner at a local mine and lodged in Emley. Enlisted at Wakefield. Buried at the Giavera British Cemetery, Treviso, Italy. Plot 2 Row H Grave 9.
