Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922
The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- ARAM, HERBERT EDGAR. Private. No 8079. 1st Battalion South Wales Borderers. Born Storths, Moldgreen. Attended Lockwood National School. Worked as a carter for the London and North Western Railway Company. Married to Elizabeth Aram three days before he enlisted. Lived 19, Violet Street, Turnbridge. Enlisted 5.8.1914. Captured by the Germans and died as a Prisoner of War on 2.11.14, aged 29 years. Buried in HARLEBEKE NEW BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 15, Row A, Grave 5.
