The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

CARTWRIGHT, HERBERT. Private. No M/375345. 'C' Battery Siege Park Army Service Corps. Born Kirkburton. Son of Mr and Mrs Henry Cartwright of Westfield Farm, Flockton, and formerly of Kirkburton. Died of pneumonia at the 2nd Australian Casualty Clearing Station, 25.2.1919, aged 30 years. Buried ATH COMMUNAL CEMETERY. Grave location:- Row A, Grave 8.
ROH:- All Hallows Parish Church, Kirkburton.
