Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

SMITH, HENRY. Private. No 38160. 15th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers. Born Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, 26.2.1891. Husband of May Smith, 7 Dale Street, Chapel Hill, Huddersfield. Prior to enlistment, was manager of the Hebden Bridge branch of the Meadow Dairy Company and, previous to that, was in the Cross Church Street branch, Huddersfield. Was a member of St. Paul's Church choir. Enlisted 9.11.1916. Killed in action, 13.8.1917, aged 28 years. Buried COXYDE MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot2, Row H, Grave 11.
