Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

PECKETT, HENRY. Gunner. No 300405. 13th Battalion The Tank Corps. Formerly No 26857 Royal Artillery. Born 10 Lily Street, Turnbridge, Huddersfield. Son of Mr and Mrs Edgar Peckett, 123 Wellington Street, Oakes, Huddersfield. Educated Oakes Council School. Employed as a warehouseman at Wellington Mills, Lindley. Single. Enlisted December 1914. Wounded on two occasions. Wounded near Lamotte-en-Santerre on 8.8.1918. Died of wounds, 9.8.1918, aged 22 years. Buried VILLERS-BRETONNEUX MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 19, Row A, Grave 4.
ROH:- Oakes Baptist Church; St. Stephen's Church, Lindley.
