Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

CHARLESWORTH, HENRY LEROY. Lance Corporal. No 42545. 1/5th Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment. Formerly No 41513 King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Born Honley. Son of Wright and Constance M Charlesworth of Fisher Green, Honley. Was head confectioner for Mr A W Whiteley of Westgate, Huddersfield. Was treasurer of the Honley St. John Ambulance Brigade. Enlisted September 1916. Killed in action, 28.9.1918, aged 23 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated on the VIS-en-ARTOIS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
