The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

TINSLEY, HENRY HAYES. Private. No 235793. 9th (Yorkshire Hussars) Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment. Born Malton, Yorkshire. Son of the late Richard Tinsley, M.R.C.V.S. Husband of Eleanor A. Tinsley, 1 Lea Street, Hillhouse, Huddersfield. Killed in action, 3.12.1917, aged 34 years. Buried St. PATRICK'S CEMETERY, LOOS. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row B, Grave 10.
