Hartley Tolson Broadbent (1897-1917)

Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

BROADBENT, HARTLEY TOLSON. Gunner. No 11177. 'D' Battery, 150th Brigade Royal Field Artillery. Born Moldgreen 3.9.1897. Son of Willie and Kathleen Evelyn Broadbent, 11 Thornton Lodge, Crosland Moor. Educated at Primrose Hill Council School and Crosland Moor Council School. Employed as a clerk by Messrs David Brown and Sons, Park Works, Crosland Moor. Single. Enlisted 20.4.1916. Embarked for France in November, 1916. Killed in action, 24.7.1917, aged 19 years. Buried in BRANDHOEK MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row N, Grave 15.
