Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

WOOD, HARRY. Private. No 241580. 2/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Kirkburton, Huddersfield. Elder son of Mr and Mrs J. Wood, 129 Spa View, Linthwaite. Employed by the Slaithwaite Spinning Company Limited. Attended the Crimble Congregational Mission. Enlisted March 1916. Embarked for France on 11.1.1917. Seriously wounded in the side on 22.11.1917. Admitted to the 48th Casualty Clearing Station, where he died of wounds on 23.11.1917. He was 26 years of age. Buried ROCQUIGNY-EQUANCOURT ROAD BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 1, Row E, Grave 29.
