Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

WHITWAM, HARRY. Rifleman. No C/7432. 18th Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps. Born Golcar. Son of Mr and Mrs Fred Whitwam, 9 Church Street, Golcar. Employed in the office of Messrs John Crowther and Sons of Milnsbridge (Union Mills). Attended Golcar Baptist Chapel and Sunday School. Was a member of the Golcar Liberal Club. Enlisted 5.11.1915. Severely wounded on 5.12.1916 and died the same day. He was 19 years of age. Buried DICKEBUSCH NEW MILITARY CEMETERY, BELGIUM. Grave location:- Row M, Grave 9.
