Harry Walton (c.1895-1917)

Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

WALTON, HARRY. Private. No 25441. 3rd Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment, transferred to No 36587, 12th Infantry Labour Company, Lincolnshire Regiment, re-transferred to No 30476, 51st Company, Labour Corps. Born Thurstonland, Brockholes, Huddersfield. Son of Andrew and Emily Walton, Bank Top, Thurstonland, Brockholes. Employed by Messrs T. and J. Tinker, Mytholm Bridge. Attended Thurstonland Wesleyan Chapel. Died of wounds at No 10 Casualty Clearing Station on 15.10.1917, aged 22 years. Buried LIJSSENTHOEK MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 22, Row H, Grave 2A.
