Son of Elizabeth Stafford, 7 Back Chapel Lane, Moldgreen, Huddersfield. Educated St. Andrew's Church of England School, Oldham. Lived West Street, Oldham. Employed as a general labourer. Married. Enlisted 6.6.1912. Killed in action near Cambrai on 30.11.1917. Buried VILLERS-FAUCON COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION. Grave location:- Plot 1, Row A, Grave 10.
