Harry Senior (1893-1918)

Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

SENIOR, HARRY. Private. No 127119. 19th Battalion Machine Gun Corps. Formerly No 57311 West Yorkshire Regiment. Born Bradford Road, Huddersfield, 10.12.1893. Younger son of Mrs Mary Jane Senior, 28 Bradford Road, Huddersfield. Educated Thomas Street Board School. Employed as a clerk by Messrs Dugdale Brothers and Company, Northumberland Street, Huddersfield. Single. Enlisted 10.7.1917. Taken prisoner by the Germans on 22.3.1918. Died, 12.7.1918, at Alexander Strasse Hospital, Berlin, aged 24 years. Was initially buried in Hasenheide Garrison Cemetery, Berlin, but later re-interred at BERLIN SOUTH-WESTERN CEMETERY, STAHNSDORF, GERMANY. Grave location:- Plot 6, Row C, Grave 3.
