Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

LEESE, HARRY. Gunner. No 154366. 297th Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. Born Kidsgrove, Staffordshire. Was a Police Constable in the Holmfirth district. Married Miss Annie Armitage, of Towngate, Holmfirth, on Whit Tuesday, June 1917, at Holmfirth United Methodist Church. Enlisted April 1917. Embarked for France in July, 1917. Died of wounds at No 8 Casualty Clearing Station on 26.3.1918, aged 28 years. Buried DUISANS BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 5, Row F, Grave 11.
