The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

BOWER, HARRY. Private. No 25244. 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters. Born Lindley 11.4.1897. Son of Mrs Bower, 48 Ramsden Street, Huddersfield. Educated at Holy Trinity Church of England School, Huddersfield. Employed as a collier. Married. Living at 11a Bradford Road, Huddersfield. Enlisted April 1916. Reported missing, presumed killed, 28.3.1918. Has no known grave. Commemorated on the POZIERES MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
