Harold Stevenson Brook (1906-1944)

Biography

Harold Stevenson Brook was born on 16 August 1906, the son of slater John Thomas Brook and his wife Jane (née Clancy).

At the time of the 1911 Census, the family was living at 5 Albert Place, Lockwood.

He married Muriel Lockwood on 21 September 1930 at St. Stephen, Rashcliffe, and they lived at 486 Manchester Road, Linthwaite. It is believed that they had at least three children.[1]

By 1939, he was working as a general builder's labourer.

BROOK — On November 21, Harold S. Brook, beloved husband of Muriel Brook of 486 Manchester Road, Linthwaite, aged 38 years. Interment at Linthwaite Church, Monday, November 27, at 11-30 a.m., cortege to leave house at 11 a.m. Friends please accept this (the only) intimation.
