Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

KAYE, HAROLD, MM. Private. No 301793. 1/8th Battalion Durham Light Infantry. Formerly No 29505 Northumberland Fusiliers. Born New Mill, Holmfirth. Son of Mr and Mrs Frank Kaye. Educated New Mill National School. Employed as a spinner by Messrs Rayner of New Mill. Attended New Mill Parish Church and Sunday School. Married, with one daughter. Lived New Street, Honley. Enlisted 8.6.1916. Reported missing and afterwards presumed killed on 5.11.1916, aged 23 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated THIEPVAL MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
