Harold Albert Edward Tucker (1891-1916)

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

TUCKER, HAROLD ALBERT EDWARD. Corporal. No L/25663. 168th (Huddersfield) Brigade H.Q., Royal Field Artillery. Born Norwich, Norfolk, 15.4.1891. Son of Alfred Edward and Ellen Tucker, 32 Water Street, Springwood, Huddersfield. Educated Rutherford College, Newcastle-on-Tyne. Served his apprenticeship with Peter Conacher and Company Limited, organ builders, and remained with them until he enlisted. Single.Was a member of the Y.M.C.A. Attended St. Thomas's Church. Enlisted 14.5.1915. Killed in action, 3.7.1916, aged 25. Buried CONNAUGHT CEMETERY, THIEPVAL. Grave location:- Plot 12, Row K, Grave 5.
