Hannah Hill (1882-?) née Copley

Biography

Hannah Copley was born on 27 February 1882 at Hoyland Common, the daughter of collier Christopher Copley.

She married silk drawer James Hill[1], son of John Hill, on 22 March 1902 at All Saints, Paddock. The couple had four known children:

  • Irvin Hill (1902-1954)[2]
  • Nora Hill (1904-1945)[3]
  • Arthur Hill (1906-?)[4]
  • Harry Hill (1910-1983)[5]

By 1911, the family were living at 11 Hill Top, Paddock.

She possibly died aged 74 in the Dewsbury area.[6]

Suffrage

Hannah Hill was a Suffragette and a member of the Huddersfield branch of the Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU).
