SANDY LANE. South Crosland. Green Gate Knoll. C18 or early C19, with modern alterations. Hammer dressed stone. Pitched stone elate roof. Coped gable end to west with moulded kneelers. Two storeys. Four tripartite casements on first floor (which presumably once had stone mullions). Ground floor originally had two doors (one now blocked), one window of five lights (of which only two stone mullions remain) and one window of three+three lights (all stone mullions except principal now removed). Barn range projects to south: all modern openings except one French casement, which is set in an original segment-headed arch. Modern extension on north side.
