Granby Street, Huddersfield

Granby Street is a former street in Huddersfield which was lost during the construction of the Ring Road and the redevelopment of the south-west part of the town.

The street connected Manchester Street to the Upper Head Row and took its name from the Granby's Head inn, which stood on the corner with Manchester Street.[1]

The archive photograph shown below was taken from Manchester Street, looking up Granby Street to the arched entrance of the Upper Head Mills on Upper Head Row.
