Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

BARRACLOUGH, GEORGE W. 2nd Lieutenant. 6th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Almondbury. Son of Superintendent H. Barraclough of the West Riding Constabulary of Dewsbury, formerly of Huddersfield. Educated at Almondbury Grammar School. Was in the employ of Mr J. E. Crowther at the Bank Bottom Mills. Killed in action at Havrincourt, 29.9.1918, aged 22 years. Buried in GRAND RAVINE BRITISH CEMETERY, HAVRINCOURT. Grave location:- Row C, Grave 13.
