- MELLOR, GEORGE. Private. No 20377. 2nd Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born South Crosland. Eldest son of Mr and Mrs Benson Mellor, Bethel Buildings, Netherton. Employed by Messrs John Wrigley and Sons, Cocking Steps Mill. Killed in action, 30.8.1918, aged 29 years. Buried DURY CRUCIFIX CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row D, Grave 33.
