Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

HAIGH, GEORGE. Private. No 203744. 1/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Golcar. Third son of Mr and Mrs George Haigh, 3 Junction House, Slades Road, Golcar. Employed as a weaver by Messrs W. and E. Crowther, Crimble Mills, Slaithwaite. Attended Westwood Mission Church. Killed in action at Nieuport, 7.8.1917, aged 22 years. Buried RAMSCAPELLE ROAD MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row A, Grave 30.
ROH:- St. John's Church, Golcar; Huddersfield Drill Hall.
Brother of Private FRED HAIGH killed in action, 3.8.1917.
