SELLENS, GEORGE E. Stoker 1st Class. No SS/105406 (RFR/CH/B/9466). HMS Cressy, Royal Navy. Son of James Walter Sellens, 8, Smithy Place, Brockholes, Huddersfield. Killed when his ship was sunk by U-9 on 22.9.1914, aged 28. Commemorated CHATHAM NAVAL MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING, Panel reference 5.
