- TURNER, GEORGE ARCHIE. Lance Corporal. No 267615. 1/6th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Loughborough 1.9.1898. Son of Edmund and Elizabeth Turner, 15 Harriet Street, Derby. Educated Church Gate School, Loughborough. Employed in Huddersfield as a woollen fettler. Single. Enlisted 10.7.1916. Killed in action, 1.11.1918, near Valenciennes, aged 21. Buried MAING COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION. Grave location:- C.1.
