Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

CHARLESWORTH, GEORGE ADAM. Gunner. No 74499. 122nd Heavy Battery Royal Garrison Artillery. Born Kirkburton. Son of Adam and Sarah Ann Charlesworth of Dean Brow, Kirkburton. Employed by his father as a tailor. Was a member of Kirkburton Liberal Club. Attended Highburton Primitive Methodist Church. Enlisted April, 1915. Killed in action, 30.9.1917, aged 24 years. Buried VLAMERTINGHE NEW MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 12, Row G, Grave 23.
ROH:- All Hallows Parish Church, Kirkburton; commemorated on headstone in Kirkburton Churchyard.
