Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

LUNN, GEOFFREY CYRIL. 2nd Lieutenant. 20th Battalion Canadian Infantry (British Columbia) Regiment. Son of James Edgar and Mary Lunn of Netherton. Obtained a foundation scholarship at Almondbury Grammar School. In March, 1915, went to Canada as an articled Civil Engineer and a Land Surveyor to Mr B. A. Moorhouse of Penticton, British Columbia. Enlisted in the Special Battalion of the Universities of Western Canada for work in Europe and was gazetted in May, 1917. Killed in action, 30.5.1918, aged 20 years. Buried BELLACOURT MILITARY CEMETERY, RIVIERE. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row M, Grave 3.
