Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

CARTWRIGHT, FREDERICK. Private. No 240023. 1/6th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born 42 Micklegate, York. Worked as a wool extractor at Armitage Bridge Mills. Husband of Lucy Cartwright, 28 Waingate, Berry Brow. Enlisted at the outbreak of the war. Killed in action in Nieppe Forest, north west of Armentieres, 11.4.1918, aged 29 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated on the TYNE COT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING
