Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922
The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- ASPINALL, FREDERICK (FREDDIE). Private. No 71465. 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters. (Formerly No 31669 North Staffordshire Regiment). Born Wooldale. Son of William and Ellen Aspinall, 74 Sunny Brow, Wooldale. Attended Lane Congregational Sunday School. Worked for Mr Fred Lawton, Bridge Mills. Enlisted November 1916. Reported missing, 4.8.17, aged 19. Commemorated on the MENIN GATE MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
