WILSON, FRED. Private. No 32489. 8th Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment. Born Prospect Place, Huddersfield, 8.1.1898. Son of William Henry and Miranda Wilson, 17a Calton Street, Huddersfield. Educated Thomas Street Council School. Employed by his father as a wholesale fruiterer. Single. Enlisted 29.1.1917. Wounded near Ypres on 29.5.1917. Died of wounds on 30.5.1917, aged 19 years. Buried BEDFORD HOUSE ENCLOSURE No 4. Grave location:- Special Memorial 40.
