Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

SWIFT, FRED. Gunner. No 68450. 232nd Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. Born Honley, Huddersfield. Son of John Edward and Ellen Swift, 24 Westgate, Honley. Employed by Messrs Learoyd Brothers, Leeds Road, Huddersfield, and Messrs John France and Sons of Honley. Was a playing member of the Honley Cricket Club. Enlisted February 1916. Killed in action, 2.9.1918, aged 26 years. Buried FOUCAUCOURT COMMUNAL CEMETERY. Grave location:- in the south-west corner of the Communal Cemetery;
