- SHAW, FRED. Private. No 32534. 18th Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment. (2nd Bradford Pals). Born Batley. Lived Armitage Row, Shepley. Employed as a mason by Mr H. Wood of Shepley. Single. Enlisted May 1916. Reported missing at the Battle of Arras on 3.5.1917. Has no known grave. Commemorated ARRAS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
