The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

MOORES, FRED. Private. No 110413. The Tank Corps. Formerly No 38234, 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment. Son of James Edward and Sarah Moores of Lindley. Lived with his sister at 136 Acre Street, Lindley. Employed as a machine tenter at Acre Mills, Lindley. Was a member of the cricket team at Holy Trinity Church. Died of pneumonia at Bovington Camp, Dorset, on 27.10.1918, aged 25 years. Buried St. STEPHEN'S CHURCHYARD, LINDLEY. Grave location:- 21, M.
ROH:- St. Stephen's Church, Lindley.
