The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

KINDER, FRED. Lance Corporal. No C/7328. 2nd Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps. Born Honley. Son of Mr and Mrs Nathan Kinder, Victoria Place, Honley. Educated Honley Church School. Played cricket with the Honley second eleven. Employed by Messrs Brook and Sons of Armitage Bridge. Died of wounds, 10.9.1916, aged 25 years. Buried FLATIRON COPSE CEMETERY, MAMETZ. Grave location:- Special Memorial 12.
