The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- HORSFALL, FRED. Private. No 305042. 1/7th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Son of Mr and Mrs Horsfall, 178 Albert Street, Lockwood. Employed at Parkwood Mills, Lockwood. Married, with three children. Enlisted 1915. Killed in action, 29.4.1918. Has no known grave. Commemorated ARRAS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
