Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

HIRST, FRED. Private. No 41932. 2 Platoon, 'A' Company, 7th Battalion Leicestershire Regiment. Born Skelmanthorpe, Huddersfield. Son of Jere and Clara Hirst, 16 Parkside, Scholes. Prior to enlistment, was employed by Messrs Vickerman Limited, Thongsbridge. Enlisted Easter, 1917, and embarked for France at Easter 1918. Reported missing near Rheims, 27.5.1918, aged 19 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated SOISSONS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
