Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

HIRST, FRED. Private. No 32736. 8th Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment. Formerly No 22824 Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Meltham. Son of George and Mary Hirst, Woodbine Terrace, Spark Green, Meltham. Reported missing, presumed killed, 11.10.1917, aged 27 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated TYNE COT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
