Fred Haigh (c.1891-1917)

Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

HAIGH, FRED. Private. No 40973. 10th Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment. Formerly No 20282 Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Slaithwaite. Son of George and Jane Haigh of Moorside, Slaithwaite. Employed as a spinner by Mr Joseph Thomas, Colne Mills, Slaithwaite. Killed in action, 28.4.1917, aged 25. Has no known grave. Commemorated ARRAS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
