Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

GATEHOUSE, FRED. Private. No 16/1577. 16th Battalion (1st Bradford Pals) West Yorkshire Regiment. Born Bramley, near Leeds, 5.8.1896. Son of Ben and Emma Gatehouse, 603 Woodlands Terrace, Leeds Road, Huddersfield. Employed as a textile engineer. Single. Enlisted 16.1.1915. Killed in action on the Somme, 3.7.1916, aged 19 years. Buried COUIN BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 1, Row C, Grave 19.
ROH:- Christ Church, Woodhouse Hill.
