Fred Cartwright (c.1888-1917)

Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922
The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- CARTWRIGHT, FRED. Private. No 202823. 1/4th Battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Son of Mr and Mrs James Cartwright, Dogley Farm, Kirkburton. Assisted his father on the farm. Married, with two children. Enlisted September, 1916, and embarked for France in January, 1917. Killed in action at Nieuport, 23.7.1917, aged 29 years. Buried RAMSCAPELLE ROAD MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 4, Row D, Grave 5.
