Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

CARTER, FRED. Corporal. No 201898. 4th Battalion Seaforth Highlanders. Born Slaithwaite. Married. At the time of enlistment, was living at 4 Warrington Terrace, Marsden. Employed as a weaver by Messrs Crowther, Bruce and Company Limited. Killed in action, 12.10.1918, aged 26 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated on the VIS-en-ARTOIS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
